Two bridal showers this week!
One for my dear friend Elizabeth,
and another for little sister Becky.
They both get married as soon as I get home in August,
so we're partying before I leave for NY.
The good thing about throwing two showers in one week
for two completely different groups of people:
reusing designs for invites.
Two birds with one stone? Yes, please.

ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! Where/how do you print them?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these. Sooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose ARE made sweet! Yes, I am also interested...how/where did you print these? Inquiring minds want to know. :)
ReplyDeleteprinting! yes, good question. Printing always does seem to be the trick with this kind of stuff.
ReplyDeleteAfter exhausting my options with more expensive printing (I can't bring myself to pay an exorbitant amount for stuff like this) I finally ended up at the printing center on campus—comparable to any kinko's. I was quite skeptical, but after trying so many other options (and not getting very good quality even though I would've been paying a lot) I decided to give it a shot.
In order to have a more sturdy invite, I used the heaviest weight available—80 lb. matte cover paper. And luckily it turned out great. Much better than I expected, for a fraction of the price I would have been paying otherwise.
One thing though, on Elizabeth's invite I used the font Didot. A beautiful font, but the extremely thin lines got a little bit lost on the printouts, especially on the smaller words. On Becky's I switched the font. Not sure what it was now, but something with not quite as thin of lines and it turned out much more readable.
Thanks for the sweet compliments! I had a great time making them.
Wait-Becky is getting married?! I'm sorry, isn't she still like, five?
